Jerri Heltzel Robinson 2023 Memorial Nursing Scholarship

The Jerri Heltzel Robinson Memorial Nursing Scholarship for a $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving nursing student.  The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a nursing student who is a resident of Franklin, Anderson, Owen, Shelby, Scott or Woodford County who is enrolled in a pre-licensure program (Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associated Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Advanced Practical Nurse (APN) and who has successfully completed a minimum of one semester of nursing coursework or is enrolled in a post licensure program. 

The criteria for the award of this scholarship will include but not be limited to: the applicant’s GPA, the applicant’s involvement in the community/extra circular activities, the applicant’s indication of financial need, the letters of recommendation and the applicant’s statements addressing leadership and organization skills, work ethic and compassion in working with patients/people. 


Jerri Heltzel Robinson was a person who was involved in various community organizations including; Girl Scouts, the Garden Club and was a founding member of C.O.C.O. She was known for her ready smile and compassion to others. She was very organized and had the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time. We remember her as a leader who was tenacious in completing projects. The C.O.C.O. scholarship committee is looking for an individual who embodies Jerri’s leadership, compassion, organization skills, and community involvement. 


The application must be fully completed and submitted by April 5,  2023.  The scholarship recipient will be notified on or before April 15,  2023.
